Jack Taylor, the Gloucestershire all-rounder, can resume
bowling offspin after the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) lifted
his ban with immediate effect on Wednesday (August 3).
Taylor's
action was reported illegal for the second time in his career, in June
earlier this year, and the all-rounder was subsequently banned from
bowling. He was re-tested on July 28, after undergoing remedial work on
his action and has now been cleared to bowl with his remodelled action.
Taylor
was previously reported in 2013 and he went on to miss the remainder of
the domestic season to work on his action at ECB's national academy in
Loughborough. He was cleared to bowl again in February 2014.
As
a batsman, the 24-year-old has scored 602 runs at an average of 43 in
the Championship this season. Last week, Taylor notched up his highest
Twenty20 score - an unbeaten 44 - that helped Gloucestershire top the
NatWest Blast South Group table.
