Josh Davey has been left out of Scotland's 13-member squad for
the limited-overs home series against Hong Kong, Scotland Cricket
announced on Thursday (September 1). Gavin Main, the uncapped pacer,
will replace Davey and will join the squad from the second One-Day
International.
Grant Bradburn, Scotland's coach,
said they will aim to end their season on a positive note. "Our players
will relish the opportunity to play two more ODIs before the summer ends
and are eager to finish the home season on a positive note," he pointed
out. "We have seen huge benefits this season from training hard as a
wider squad and we now have more players than ever contesting selection
in the national team."
The two matches will be
played at the Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh on September 8 and 10
respectively. Preston Mommsen, as expected, will lead the squad.
