Suhrawadi Shuvo, the Bangladesh all-rounder, was released from
hospital on Sunday (June 19) after CT and MRI scans revealed no damage
to his brain as a result of a bouncer striking the side of his neck.
The
27-year-old all-rounder was part of the Victoria Sporting Club side
that took on Abahani in the Dhaka Premier League and was batting on 21
when a delivery from seamer Taskin Ahmed struck the lower side of his
neck. He was soon rushed to the hospital after collapsing to the ground.
Shuvo
has now returned home and will not be available to play his side's
remaining matches on June 20 and 22. He is scheduled to undergo a few
more check-ups in the upcoming week.
