Warwickshire seal thriller against Derbyshire

Glamorgan v Kent
An unbeaten 49-ball 97 from David Lloyd and a 29-ball 60 from Colin Ingram helped Glamorgan seal an easy 55-run win by Duckworth-Lewis Stern method over Kent at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Friday (June 17) after the game was reduced to a 16-over affair.
After the game was delayed due to rain, Glamorgan lost Jacques Rudolf (8) with just 12 runs on the board. However, Lloyd and Ingram then collaborated for an onslaught that yielded 132 runs in 9.3 overs to leave their opponents gasping. Glamorgan ended with 175 for 4 in their 16 overs.
Set a revised target of 177, Dale Steyn (4-18) and Michael Hogan (3-12) shared seven wickets between them to dismantle Kent and restrict them to 121 all out in 15.5 overs.

Gloucestershire v Somerset
Michael Klinger (60) guided Gloucestershire to a four-wicket win over Somerset in the chase of 159 at the County Ground in Bristol.
Klinger, the opener, batted till the 17th over before his dismissed but took the team close. Gloucestershire still needed 31 runs from 20 balls. Andrew Tye then hammered an 11-ball 18 to take the team home.
Earlier, Chris Gayle (40) and Jim Allenby (27) gave Somerset a brisk start and posted 55 runs for the first wicket in 6.2 overs. However, they failed to capitalise on the start and were able to manage a par score after Lewis Gregory (23 not out) and Roelof van der Merwe (18 not out) ended with a late flourish. The duo added 41 runs in 4.3 overs to lift the team over the 150-run mark.
Brief scores: Somerset 158-5 in 20 overs (Chris Gayle 40; Benny Howell 2-29) lost to Gloucestershire 160-6 in 19.5 overs (Michael Klinger 60; Roelof van der Merwe 3-16) by four wickets.
Northamptonshire v Durham
Northamptonshire cruised to a 26-run win over Durham at the County Ground in Northampton.
Set a target of 162, Durham were reduced to 9 for 4 in the fourth over. Paul Collingwood (38) and Scott Borthwick (29) then revived the chase with a 59-run stand but the team never recovered from the early blows.
Earlier, Josh Cobb starred with the bat for Northamptonshire and scored a 48-ball 68. The team was well placed at the end of 11th over with 90 runs on the board and seven wickets in hand. They then were able to score just 71 runs in the last nine overs and lost six more wickets. Paul Coughlin ended with figures of 5-42.
Brief scores: Northamptonshire 161-9 in 20 overs (Josh Cobb 68; Paul Coughlin 5-42) beat Durham 135-8 in overs (Paul Collingwood 38; Moin Ashraf 3-17) by 26 runs.
Surrey v Middlesex
Jason Roy (35 off 19) and Zafar Ansari (35 not out) made handy contributions with the bat while Ravi Rampaul (3-21) delivered decisive blow as Surrey beat Middlesex by 29 runs at the Kennington Oval in London.
Chasing 174, James Franklin fought hard with 39 but with no other batsmen contributing much, Middlesex fell well short.
Surrey got off to a flying start when Roy came out all guns blazing. They then lost their way and were reduced to 127 for 7 in the 17th overs. Ansari and Tom Curran (22 not out) then gave the innings the much-needed impetus with a 46-run stand in 3.4 overs.
Brief scores: Surrey 173-7 in 20 overs (Zafar Ansari 35*, Jason Roy 35; Ollie Rayner 3-23) beat Middlesex 144-10 in 19.3 overs (Ravi Rampaul 3-21) by 29 runs.
Leicestershire v Worcestershire
The match between Leicestershire and Worcestershire at Grace Road was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain.
Derbyshire v Warwickshire
At the County Ground in Derby, Warwickshire sealed a thrilling four-wicket win on the last ball against Derbyshire.
Chasing 142, Warwickshire got off to a solid start with Ian Bell scoring a 54-ball 67. Then then lost their way and wobbled before eventually crossing the line on the final delivery of the game.
Earlier, Hamish Rutherford (33) and Wayne Madsen (38) made handy contributions with the bat to give the bowlers something to bowl at. The 57-run stand between the duo held the innings together but once Rutherford was dismissed the innings fell apart.
Brief scores: Derbyshire 141-7 in 20 overs (Wayne Madsen 38) lost to Warwickshire 145-6 in 20 overs (Ian Bell 67) by four wickets.
Hampshire v Sussex
Rain played spoil sport in the clash between Hampshire and Sussex at the Rose Bowl in Southampton was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Yorkshire v Nottinghamshire
There was no play possible at Headingley as well between Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. The match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
