Steven Finn, the England pacer, is set to be out of actions for close
to four weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in the fourth and
final Test against Pakistan at The Oval. The 27-year-old wasn't named in
the 15-member England squad for the five-match One-Day International series against Pakistan.
"Middlesex
and England bowler Steven Finn has sustained a left hamstring tear,"
England and Wales Cricket Board said in a statement on Tuesday (August
16). "He is anticipated to be available in approximately four weeks.
"The
27-year-old will start a rehabilitation programme with Middlesex and
England, and is aiming to play a part in Middlesex's Championship
campaign in September."
Finn picked up five wickets in the three
Tests he played against Pakistan at an average of 70.40 and is expected
to miss Middlesex's next few fixtures.
